Search engines are under no obligation to display exactly what you want them to display. In fact, in many cases, the search engines won’t display the title tag and meta description you specified. Below are ways you can possibly improve your SEO ranking for Cardzware's Greeting Cards. 


Cardzware's default setting automatically generates & populates content for the fields below. As there are hundreds of retailers using the Cardzware app, we recommend that you modify the default content and make it unique to your store. We have found that utilizing this additional SEO tool will improve your ranking for cards with the search engines. 


To edit the content, go to https://app.cardzware.com/admin/seo 


Go to "Cards" and tick "Enable SEO" and you can amend the content. This will automatically update the content for all categories and subcategories. 


You can amend the content on an individual category or subcategory by clicking on the different occasions. See below screenshot. 




(A) Page Title:  A title tag is a website element that denotes the title of a web page. Title tags are shown in a couple of key locations: Search results pages: When you search on Google, you will find a list of results in blue text. These are the title tags Web browser tab: Once you open a web page, its title tag will be shown in the tab of your web browser. 


(B) Meta Description: A meta description tag generally informs and interests users with a short, relevant summary of what a particular page is about. They are like a pitch that convinces the user that the page is exactly what they're looking for. There's no limit on how long a meta description can be, but the snippet is truncated in Google Search results to around 160 characters.

To improve the odds Google uses your page title and meta description:

  • Ensure title tag and meta description fall within Google’s length requirements.
  • Ensure title tag and meta description accurately reflect what’s on your page.
  • Only have one instance of title tag and meta description on your page.
  • Tell search engines not to use other directories to pull your information.
